Formula
Markup% = ((Selling Price − Cost) ÷ Cost) × 100
What is Markup?
Markup is the percentage added to the cost of a product to determine its selling price. It's expressed as a percentage of the cost, not the selling price (that would be margin).
For example, if a product costs $20 and you sell it for $50, your markup is 150% — you added $30 on top of the $20 cost.
